Dr. Gonzalez was born and raised in Puerto Rico and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Puerto Rico- Rio Piedras Campus in 2017. She moved to North Carolina six years ago to attend veterinary school and received her DVM degree from North Carolina State University in 2022. 

 She is passionate about educating owners on preventative care and her special interests include dermatology and applying fear free techniques. Prior to joining Cary Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Gonzalez worked with a variety of animals including exotics such as rabbits and primates.  

 Dr. Gonzalez is bilingual (Spanish and English) and is hoping to start learning a third language soon. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing at home with her husband and two dogs (Goofy and Guinness), reading and exploring new restaurants.
