Dr. Victoria Sutherland grew up within the Charlotte area and received her Bachelors in Cell Biology at UNC Charlotte. For a few years before veterinary school, she worked as a kennel attendant, bather, and then veterinary assistant at a small animal ER/GP clinic in Charlotte. This job was her first real exposure to veterinary medicine and can be credited for sparking her initial passion for the field. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from NC State University in May of 2023. 

Dr. Sutherland enjoys working with both dogs and cats, but does have a particular interest in felines. She is specifically passionate about making veterinary visits more peaceful for cats and implementing Fear Free techniques to ease anxiety. 

She and her partner share their home with two kitties and two pups. On her time off, she enjoys walking trails with her partner and their dogs, rock climbing, hot yoga, attending concerts/music festivals, and the occasional karaoke night!
