Managing DVM

Dr. Kyle Alberti

Dr. Kyle Alberti joined the Cary Veterinary Hospital team as our new managing veterinarian and medical director in June 2021. He knew he wanted to be a vet when he was 5 years old, joining his parents in bringing their family dog to the veterinarian. Instantly, he knew that’s what he wanted to do when he grew up.

Originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, Dr. Alberti graduated from Virginia Tech as an undergrad in 2008, double majoring in Animal Science and Biochemistry. He continued his studies at Virginia Tech obtaining a Master of Science degree before completing his collegiate career by attending vet school at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He has been practicing as an Associate Veterinarian ever since. In addition, he’s helped coach and mentor new graduates and is an active volunteer with VMCVM’s Veterinary Student Mentor program.

His favorite part of being a veterinarian is helping educate owners on preventative care, as well as the importance of heartworm prevention and vaccinations to prevent serious diseases so that their pets can continue living happy, healthy lives.

In his free time, Dr. Alberti enjoys playing ice hockey and basketball, running, home improvement projects, and traveling. He likes to unwind by watching TV with his dogs or playing video games. He and his wife have three dogs: two 10-year old lab/chow mixes, Bailey and Brandy, who are sisters, and one Chihuahua, Little Girl, 8. They also have three 2017 NC State Fair goldfish!

In June 2023, Dr. Alberti and his wife, Jenny, welcomed baby Ellie into the world.  Dr. Alberti and Jenny spend most of their spare time right now taking care of Ellie.

Dr. Alberti is also having some fun learning a new foreign language, Italian, so if you happen to speak Italian, be sure to say ‘ciao’!

Dr. Alberti’s goal is to help cultivate a positive and inclusive workspace for his colleagues so that they may continue to grow and prosper, both personally and professionally. His aim is to provide a friendly and welcoming environment for all of our clients who entrust our team with the care of their beloved pets. He treats every patient as if they were a member of his own family and looks forward to getting to know you and your pets at CVH!
